Importance of Agriculture Underestimated Black Says

Speaking at the April meeting of the CCRC, Gary Black, candidate for Agriculture Commissioner, said that people often underestimate the importance of agriculture. From the battle for food security to Black's so called E3 initiative (economic, environmental, and educational), Black insisted that the state's department of agriculture must do a better job to prepare for the future of agriculture in the state.

Monday's meeting was the first CCRC meeting held at the new Hilton Garden downtown. Among many in attendance was hotel owner Larry Benson as well as other guests from the Oconee County Republican Party. If you were unable to make it, we invite all of you to next month's meeting to be held again at the hotel on May 8th at 7:00 p.m.
